When is the best time to have a maternity photoshoot?
I recommend capturing your maternity photos between 34-36 weeks.

Our maternity photoshoots are relaxed and natural, they capture your connection with your bump, other children and partner.
Maternity photoshoots are 1-1.5 hours long and are held at a park or beach in the Eastern Suburbs of Sydney. Included in the maternity session are 2-3 dress changes, and if you choose, we can wander in the water and capture the weightlessness of the water floating around you.
I offer a complimentary maternity photoshoot with every newborn baby photoshoot booked.

Do you offer newborn and maternity photography bump to baby packages?
Yes! I offer a bump to baby package with great savings and discounts. You will save over $300 on the combined package. To find out more please get in touch here.
How do I book a maternity photoshoot?
Please get in touch with me via email daniella@daniellaphotography.com.au or click here to fill in the form to find out more. Please let me know when you are due and any date preferences for your photoshoot. I will email you with all the information for your photoshoot and booking links.
What is your cancellation policy?
Once you have paid the session fee, it will lock in your photoshoot date and time and it is non refundable. If you are unwell or if it rains on the day of the photoshoot, we will postpone it to the next available date that works for us both.
When is the best time to shoot a maternity session?
Maternity photos are best captured during 32-36 weeks of pregnancy. Some mums choose to do it closer to 36 weeks if they are feeling well and want their bump to be on the bigger side. Others choose to do it earlier for a variety of reasons.
How long do maternity sessions last?
Maternity photoshoots take about 1-1.5 hours in total. This includes time for 3-4 wardrobe changes. Sessions are held over golden hour at sunset or sunrise so that we can capture the most beautiful light of the day.

Where do maternity photoshoots take place?
Maternity photoshoots are held at the beach or a park. I have compiled a comprehensive list of my recommended locations. Once you book, I will send this to you to help you choose your favourite location.
Do you offer a posed or candid maternity photography style?
My style of photography is natural and unposed. You will rarely be posed in a stiff position looking into the camera. Maternity photoshoots do require a lot of guidance to help you feel confident and beautiful in the photos. I will guide you through the photoshoot so that you know where to place your hands and legs during all the photos. I do this whilst keeping the photos fun and natural.
Do you offer maternity photography outside of Sydney?
No, I am a Sydney based maternity photographer and at this stage do not have the time to travel outside of Sydney for photoshoots.
What to Wear and Bring
What should I wear for my maternity photoshoot? Do you have a client's wardrobe?
The best part about booking a photoshoot with me is that I have over 25 maternity gowns I have personally collected for you to choose from for your photos. When you book I will send you my what to wear guide. It is a comprehensive visual guide to help you dress and style the whole family. Most of my clients borrow 3-4 dresses for their maternity photoshoot. I am also available to help guide you when dressing the rest of the family.
Can I bring my partner or other children to the photoshoot?
Yes of course! It may be called a maternity photoshoot, but it includes the whole family with your bump as the main focus. I will take photos of your other children on their own, together with you as a family and of course all those gorgeous bump photos you want to remember forever.
What about hair and makeup?
I recommend keeping your hair and make up natural and simple. Many of my clients do choose to invest in hair and make up. I have a list of hair and make up artists I recommend that I can send to you once you book. Your hands will more than likely be in a lot of shots, so please come with manicured hands you are happy to have photographed.
After the Photoshoot
How long will it take to receive my photos?
You will receive a link to a secure online gallery with 80+ edited photographs for you to choose from within 2-3 weeks of your photoshoot. You can then view and select the photos and package you would like to order.
How many photos will I receive from the session?
You will be able to view over 80 of the best photos from the session. You can then select how many you would like to order. Packages range from 8 photos to all the photos in the gallery.
Do you offer prints or albums?
Yes! After purchasing the digital images, I can set up a time with you to design custom wall art or an album for your home. I have personally selected some of the best suppliers in Australia to print and frame your photos. I will help you design a statement piece to hang in your home for generations to come.
